A Room Of One's Own and Vacation

Whimper. I'm going on vacation. Now that might sound fun but I'm doing it with the kids, the mother, the dog and the husband. And, as the DH has said--"I kinda wish you guys were all leaving. I'm just getting really going on my writing." I offered him the laptop and he said, "No. Guys need all their stuff to work with when they write." He had read about one guy who took weeks to get back into his routine and write once he was away.

I do understand. A real vacation would be staying home (or somewhere where there was a very convenient computer and no one else) but I shall force myself to enjoy the relatives and the beach. And I shall try to peck away on the laptop.
